SOU is a transcontinental platform for artistic research, production, and discourse, fostering dialogue between Southeast Asia, North and West Africa and Europe, and in the long term would stream into other regions such as Indian Subcontinent, Latin America, East Asia and other regions not necessarily marked by border controls and restrictions. We believe in art’s power to transcend borders—not by erasing differences, but by creating spaces where diverse histories, practices, and futures can interrogate and enrich one another.
